If the new drivers for Synaptics touchpad is working fine, I suggest you to hide that Microsoft update for the keyboard and check if it helps.

Just had a major battle with this one.......
Solution was to uninstall all Synaptics drivers and update the driver through device manager. This installed a fairly recent driver and Windows Update is now content and not offering any old drivers.
Took ages to figure it out,
