CD-Copy Installation:
  • Create the following temporary directories:
    • TempDir#1 : C:TEMPUPDATE
    • TempDir#2 : C:TEMPCD
    • TempDir#3 : C:TEMPAUDIO
  • Download the official Seven kingdoms 2 v1.12 Update.
  • Extract the update, using WinZip, to TempDir#1.
  • Extract the I5COMP.ZIP archive to TempDir#1.
  • Copy the DATA1.CAB & DATA1.HDR files from the CDto TempDir#1.
  • Remove the Read-Only attribute from both files.
  • Open a DOS-Box and change directory (CD) to TempDir#1.
  • Execute:i5comp r data1.cab 598 t_firm.res
  • Execute:i5comp r data1.cab 620 7k2.exe
    This will Replace the 7K2.EXE &t_firm.res files in the DATA1.CAB file.
  • Copy the full contents of the original CD to TempDir#2.
  • Replace the original DATA1.CAB & DATA1.HDR files from TempDir#2 with the updated ones from TempDir#1.
  • Extract all Audio/CDDA tracks to TempDir#3.
  • Create a Mixed Mode CD and burn the contents of TempDir#2 (DATA) & TempDir#3 (AUDIO) to a CD-R and use the original CD-Label: 7k2
  • Cleanup the temporary directories.
  • Play the game!

Version Check:

To check if the locations of the replaced files are correct perform the following:
  • i5comp l data1.cab >>list.txt

Now check if the 72K.EXE is on location 620 & T_FIRM.RES is on location 598.

NOTE:Checkout the NewBiepage to know how to extract Audio Tracks.

Make a backup of the original DATA1.CAB & DATA1.HDR files for future patching!
